This is maybe the closest thing to a seasonal sauerkraut I’ve come across. It’s also a great way to get the probiotic benefits with a bit of a spicy apple twist! If you’re looking for something a bit more exciting with which to invigorate your gut bacteria, or if you’re looking for a more flavorful kraut, then this spiced apple sauerkraut has your name on it! |

Note: Since cabbage heads vary in size, you may fill more than one jar or less. To get the salt just right, add a little and taste the cabbage mixture. Add enough until it tastes a little salty. You can find my 3 simple steps to make perfectly salted sauerkraut every time here.
