Burgers and fries! Maybe not something which comes immediately to mind when one thinks of an awesome raw vegan meal, but that only makes it all the more awesome! While yam fries may be all the rage, you’re sure to impress your friends (and yourself!) with some daikon fries! That’s something you certainly don’t see every day. A type of mild radish, the daikon makes for an inherently spicy sort of fry — or, in this instance, an unfry. In this case, the yams aren’t in the fries but in the burger. With a little bit of dates in there too, it makes for a nice, subtly sweet raw patty complemented nicely by the ketchup. We’re continually amazed by what you can do with dates. A great meal for a summer non-BBQ! |
