Lemon Ginger Apple Infused Water
Prep:10minTotal:10minServes:4
Ingredients
  • 1/2lemon(medium, peeled and cut into thin slices)
  • 2apples(cut into thin slices)
  • 1/8cuplemon juice(fresh, get juice from the other half of the lemon)
  • 2inchginger(peeled and cut into slices or 1 drop ginger essential oil)
  • 1/2tspstevia(optional)
  • 8cupspurified water(spring water)
Directions
  1. Place lemon and apple slices, lemon juice, ginger slices or ginger oil, and liquid stevia in the bottom of the glass jar and pour water on top. Stir to mix well. Cover jar with lid and place in the refrigerator to infuse for 2-3 hours or preferably overnight. If you don’t peel the lemon slices initially please remove the peel from the slices after infusing for 1 hour or your water will be bitter.
  2. After the water infuses you can enjoy it! You can leave the fruits in the infused water for up to 3-4 days before you need to strain them out of the water. On the second day, I like to add more water and one more drop of ginger essential oil in once I drink up the first batch. The fruit flavor is not as strong but it still is very refreshing. After 3-4 days you can compost the fruit and ginger pieces. Enjoy!
