Energizing Date Truffles

Ingredients
  

  • 8 ounces date paste or make your own by processing dates till they are dough like (approx. 2 cups)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup sesame seeds dehydrated or toasted (dry in dehydrator or toast in sauté pan for several minutes)
  • 1/3 cup processed raw almonds (process for about 10-15 seconds till finely chopped)
  • 1 Tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 Tbsp ground flax seeds
  • 1 Tbsp Cocoa powder

Method
 

  1. Add the cocoa powder, flax seeds, chia seeds, cinnamon and processed almonds into the date paste. Mix thoroughly with your hands till all ingredients evenly spread throughout or you can mix it all together in a processor for a few seconds to get the same result.
  2. Place the dehydrated or toasted sesame seeds into a plate.
  3. Make balls with your hands about the size of a tablespoon in the palm of your hand.
  4. Roll the date ball into the sesame seed mixture till well coated.
