Durian is probably one of the weirdest fruits that ever fruited. They taste sort of like a mix of onion, cucumber, watermelon, and maybe some garlic, and just a pinch of old books. They actually taste really great. They're just... weird. You either love 'em or you hate 'em! If you love 'em, you'll definitely enjoy this super simple raw vegan durian ice cream!

  1. Blend the durian and dates together in a high speed blender and place into a container.
  2. Add in vanilla, cinnamon and mix. You can actually eat it like this with toppings as a pudding but for the ice cream, place into the freezer for several hours.
  3. Once slightly frozen, use an ice cream scooper or spoon to place durian into a bowl. Add toppings and ENJOY!! Xx
  4. *** For the toppings I used strawberries, cacao nibs and some of Jem’s raw maca cinnamon sprouted almond butter (amazing!!) You can add any toppings you want like shredded coconut, sprout buckwheat groats, bananas, etc…
