This chocolate pudding green smoothie is a great alternative to hot chocolate on a cozy winter afternoon! Now obviously we’re using the term ‘green’ a bit loosely here: this smoothie looks about as green as any chocolate pudding. But with a handful of swiss chard and a helping of avocado, it’s got plenty of green goodness in it, too.

This isn’t the first time we’ve shared with you a recipe which is a the smoothie version of something else. And it probably won’t be the last. Because smoothie versions of other things are so darn fun, easy, tasty, and even healthful! So enjoy a gulp today.

  1. Pack chopped swiss chard in the bottom of a blender and then fill with almond milk to the 1 cup line on the blender. Blend starting on a low setting and increasing to the highest setting until the greens are well blended.
  2. Next turn off blender, add the rest of the ingredients and blend again starting on a low setting and working up to a higher setting.
  3. Pour into a pretty drinking glass and enjoy this thick, creamy chocolate treat!
