This recipe is probably the best way to use up leftover bits and pieces ever imagined. There’s something uniquely lovely about wraps, and the ability to make up some delicious wholesome raw veggie wraps from your kitchen scraps seems to good to be true — but it isn’t! And these wraps are so much better than your typical wrap because the wraps themselves are made of veggies! It’s veggies all the way down, people!
You can make these lovely wraps out of whatever you happen to have lying around and they should turn out awesome, so long as you stick to the proportions in the recipe.
Raw Tiramisu Brownies
I’ve never been a coffee drinker, but there’s just something about coffee flavored sweets. I don’t know what it is, since I’ve never liked actual coffee. But it’s impossible not to like these tiramisu brownies.
These things aren’t your average brownie, and they certainly aren’t your average tiramisu. Somehow they’re the best of both worlds. Instead of using ladyfingers as is traditional with this delectable Italian dessert, our chef here has appropriately gone for a layer of coffee flavored vanilla cake.
The fact that these tiramisu brownies have coffee flavored vanilla cake as a layer says pretty much all that needs to be said. Decadent doesn’t seem to do it justice. This the cutting edge of dessert goodness. Part brownie, part tiramisu, you’ll want them all the time.
Pink Oyster Mushroom Rolls
SUSHI, I believe that sushi can be an opportunity for everyone to get creative. Yes- most people believe that sushi consists of raw fish and rice…nope- I beg to differ! Sushi should be looked at as “cut up ingredients all wrapped up in nori (seaweed sheets)”! I also think that is an opportunity to get your veggies in. Today I went to the farmers market and was faced with the sea of organic fruits and veggies. The one thing that stood out, besides the tip-of-my-thumb sized organic blueberries that I bought, was a vendor that had pink organic oyster mushrooms.
AMAZING–I have never seen PINK oyster mushrooms! Apparently they taste the same as white oyster mushrooms but are a vibrant pink hue… very curious and beautiful! Instead of searing them or marinating them like most do, I decided to make a raw dish– hence the PINK OYSTER MUSHROOM ROLL was born.
