Lavender Blueberry Muffins
Nothing says “good morning” like soft, delicious blueberry muffins. With the added soothing aroma of lavender, these muffins will help smooth over the transition to wakefulness even for those of us who really aren’t morning people.
Raw macadamia nuts provide much of the body of these blueberry muffins. They also help provide that wonderful buttery flavor. A hint of maple syrup, some cinnamon, and of course lovely lavender make for a uniquely pleasant experience. Dried blueberries are use for their texture and because they have a bit more of a concentrated flavor. Which is great, because there sure is a lot of flavor in these lavender blueberry muffins!

Gluten Free Protein Bars
The weather outside is beautiful, so get out there and be active! Enjoy life, explore, and play!
Now all that playing and activity can tire us out. We need to refuel! And what better way to grow big and strong that a heavenly delicious chocolate covered protein bar?
Ever had a protein bar that tasted like cardboard? Those days are over. Now a protein bar from a store might taste alright, but is probably filled with added sugars and other weird things. Not so with these awesome bars! Coconut, agave, peanut butter and chocolate are all you need for a delicious taste experience to help power your active lifestyle!
Peanut Butter Cookies
There’s nothing quite as comforting as peanut butter cookies! Just the thought of sinking your teeth into the soft chewy edges of a freshly made peanut butter cookie is bliss!
This super easy recipe calls for only four ingredients. It’s so simple that even your inner child could easily handle it. And your inner child will fall in love with peanut butter all over again! It’s also a great recipe to make with your actual children — a healthy and delicious snack that anyone can make!
The dates in this recipe help provide that essential smooshy texture without any baking. Dates really are amazing for this. It also means you get a healthful dose of fruit built right into the cookie, along with the protein-filled nuts. You can also take it a step further if it suits you, with some raisins or maybe even a bit of chocolate!
Strawberry Kiwi Dessert Pizza
chocolate strawberry kiwi pizza differs from your average pizza in a couple of ways. No baking, no dairy, no gluten, but all kinds of fruit and natural sweetness. Maybe you can have it for dessert after some regular raw pizza!
Like other pizzas, this dessert pizza can be easily customized. Add or substitute your favorite fruits to get it just right. I’ve always wondered why the only fruit you tend to see on pizzas is pineapple. You can putt all the fruit on this dessert pizza!
For me, dessert pizza is the perfect dessert for birthday parties. It can serve lots of people, it’s crazy delicious, a little bit off the beaten path, and tons of fun. And it’s pretty healthy, too.
Strawberry Cashew Cream Cake With Carob Drizzle
I think if everyone knew that you could have a raw vegan cream cake that looks and tastes as amazing as this inspirational creation, there’d be a lot more raw vegans around! Is this what they call a case of “having your cake, and eating it too“?
It’s never made sense to me why anyone would want to have a cake and not eat it. I mean, the whole point of having cakes is to eat them. But looking at this Strawberry Cashew Cream Cake, I can see why people might want to just have it. Look at this thing! It’s a work of art. In cake form!
The combination of carob and maple syrup is amazing. The dark sweetness of these two flavors really compliment the tartness of strawberries. Carob is an amazing substitute for cocoa that comes from a cool Mediterranean tree. The taste is almost like a cross between chocolate and raisins. It works wonderfully as a drizzle, with it’s unique yet familiar flavor.
The hardest part about this recipe is waiting for your cream cake the set in the fridge. Try to wait at least 24 hours. Consider that the time to “have your cake”, and only after that you get to eat it!
Raw Chocolate Orange Truffles
These raw chocolate orange truffles are a real delight. There’s nothing quite as sensuous and decadent as a chocolate truffle. The word itself is enough to make one salivate. Add to the dark sweetness of chocolate the bright zest of orange, and you’re in for a real treat. Like peanut butter and jam or oil and vinegar, chocolate and orange are just two flavors that belong together. Some people just can’t get enough of it. If you’re one of those people, then this recipe is for you.
Of course, chocolate truffles aren’t the only gourmet food that goes by the name. In fact, chocolate truffles borrow their name from the highly prized Tuber fungus, which they are thought to resemble. A fun piece of trivia to serve up with your raw treats.
The magic of the orange chocolate truffles is the marriage of bright and dark. The orange hits the high notes, while the dark chocolate strikes the bass. It’s all held together by the dates, which are a key player when it comes to raw desserts. In this context, the dates do an excellent job recreating the texture of the classic ganache.
Banana Bon Bons
Raise your hand if you remember BON BONS? Yes, the little chunks of ice cream covered in chocolate that you just popped in your mouth. There was just something about them that made you feel like royalty when you indulged in them. In fact most of us think that royalty just “lay around eating bon bons”… Was it the rich creamy ice cream? Was it the decadent chocolate that they were dipped in? Was it the fact that they were the perfect way to BLOW YOUR DIET? What ever it was, I had my fair share of them in my days past. OH YES.. they are covered in decadent chocolate! Since they have ALL of the bon bons beloved components, what is missing? Well these little guys are missing the cholesterol, dairy, refined sugar, trans-fat, preservatives, emulsifiers, and highly processed artificial ingredients that the commercially produced bon bon have. I am sorry that I had to just ruin the fantasy of the other bon bons but wait….. Here is what this recipe has–Banana, coconut oil, date syrup, cacao and shredded coconut; and they are raw vegan paleo. You can definitely feel good about those ingredients and that they conform to a healthy lifestyle! AND again, the creamy dreamy chocolate covered frozen treat that TASTES AMAZING! So even though we crave bon bons, we can ALL indulge in BANANA BON BONS and feel like royalty again! BON BON APPETIT!

Blueberry Sweet Tea
Besides the abundant sunshine and warm weather that we get in the summer, I love the variety of fruits available. One of the fruits summer has to offer is blueberries….OH HOW I LOVE YOU SO!
As you all know, fruit is a very large part of my diet; so it is natural for me to make tasty recipes using fruit. Not only do I make fruit salads and smoothies with fruit, I also flavor water and tea with it too. Some of you might be thinking, “how do you make tea on a RAW diet?” It is actually quite simple, I cold brew my teas.
Cold brewing is a method that adheres to my raw lifestyle yet it is bursting with flavor like traditionally made tea. I just get my half-gallon glass jar, add my organic tea bags (6 tea bags for green tea or 4 bags for black tea), fill with 100 degree water and allow this to steep overnight. If I am making a fruit flavored tea, after it is cold brewed I add the flavoring to it. See, pretty simple. I even make different flavors at the same time so my family can have a variety of teas to choose from. This also prompts everyone to grab a glass of fresh tea instead of soda.
Sweet tea is has been a staple of summer beverages for generations and all across America, but why not take it a next step further and make it healthy? Traditional sweet tea is just brewed tea, tons of sugar and sometimes lemon juice; but I feel we can make a better choice here. I like to use fresh RIPE organic fruit with just a touch of raw agave syrup in my cold brewed organic tea.The fruit has natural sweetness and vitamins, the agave syrup adds a touch of more sweetness and smoothness to it, and the organic cold brewed tea has retained all of its antioxidant properties.
Although I have many combinations of sweet tea (and unsweetened tea), I want to give you my recipe for BLUEBERRY SWEET TEA. Just think, the flavor of fresh ripe blueberries with a touch of sweetness all in a refreshing drink that will cool you off and give you some extra health benefits this summer…. CHEERS to our HEALTH!!
